• Messages: the content of chat messages and offers exchanged with other users through the platform.
• Communications with us: emails or messages you send to our support team.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

• Log data: IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps when you interact with Rempor.
• Device information: operating system, device identifiers, and screen resolution.
• Cookies and similar technologies: session tokens and preference cookies used to keep you logged in and remember your settings. See Section 4 for more detail.

1.3 Information from Third Parties

• Stripe: when you make or receive an online payment, Stripe provides us with a transaction confirmation, amount, and status. Rempor does not receive or store your full card details.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Create and manage your account, including OTP-based verification.
• Display your listings to other users and facilitate transactions.
• Deliver real-time chat messages and offer notifications between users.
• Process payments via Stripe and record transaction history.
• Send transactional emails such as OTP codes and order confirmations.
• Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and violations of our Terms of Use.
• Improve, maintain, and secure the Rempor platform.
• Comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share it in the following circumstances:

• With other users: your username, profile photo, and listings are visible to other Rempor users. Chat messages are shared only with the other party to the conversation.
• With Stripe: your email address and transaction details are shared with Stripe to process online payments.
• With service providers: we use third-party services (e.g., database hosting, email delivery) that process data on our behalf under confidentiality obligations.
• For legal compliance: we may disclose information when required by law, court order, or government authority, or when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Rempor, our users, or the public.
• Business transfers: in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to equivalent privacy protections.

4. Cookies

Rempor uses the following types of cookies:

• Essential cookies: an HttpOnly session cookie (token) used to keep you securely logged in. This cookie is required for the platform to function.
• Preference cookies: used to remember settings such as your selected filters.

You can configure your browser to refuse cookies, but doing so will prevent you from logging in to Rempor.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as necessary to provide our services. If you close your account, we will delete or anonymise your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain it for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention purposes.

Chat messages and transaction records may be retained for up to 7 years to comply with applicable commercial and tax laws.

6. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption, HttpOnly cookies, hashed passwords, and JWT-based authentication to protect your personal information. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access: request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.

• Withdrawal of consent: where we process your data on the basis of consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time.
• Opt-out of marketing: you may unsubscribe from any non-essential communications by following the unsubscribe link in our emails or contacting us directly.

8. Children's Privacy

Rempor is not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we become aware that a minor has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.

Rempor may contain links to third-party websites or services. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third parties, and we are not responsible for their privacy practices. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party sites you visit.

10. International Users

Rempor is operated from Singapore. If you access the platform from outside Singapore, your information may be transferred to and processed in Singapore or other countries where our service providers operate. By using Rempor, you consent to such transfers.
